We hold to the Biblical account that God created the world in six literal days roughly six thousand years ago. Some may wonder how we can believe this if "science" has "proved" that we evolved over millions of years. What many people do not realize is that, far from proofs, what believers in the evolutionary model of the origin of the world have to support their ideas are interpretations of data that are biased toward a cleverly crafted historical account intended to remove the need for God - not hypotheses that are supported by repeatable, observable experiments that can be performed in a laboratory. In fact, many of these fairy tails, such as their claims that life spontaneously came from inanimate matter or that mutations can produce complex, new genetic information have never been observed even once! Also, take note that there are many compelling arguments from very capable, doctorate-level scientists on the creation side of the debate; These honorable men (both of today and the great minds of the past) certainly see no contradictions between scripture and science.
We can quickly conclude that both sides of the origins question are matters of "faith," not "science." The underlying faith of those doing the investigation is being used to interpret and draw conclusions about the evidence found around us on our planet. And, if an honest analysis of both sides is made, it is actually the Biblical creation position that makes the best sense out of this evidence! Further, creationists have something even more reliable than mere deductions about the distant past - a document that provides an eye-witness account of the creation and events that shaped our planet such as the flood of Noah. Thus, we hold that there is no reason at all to abandon the absolute and literal truth of the Biblical account of creation and history simply because the "faith" that prevails in much of the academic world currently has a monopoly on our scientific institutions. Science by consensus is not good science!
